"Photographer / Pittsburgh tour guide" - That is what my new business card should say I think. When it comes to taking pictures around the 'Burgh I basically take people on a walking tour of downtown and snap photos from time to time. If you choose to shoot in the city , I always send a message back "bring good walking shoes!" and if we shoot in the country I'll message "Bring rubber boots or old tennis shoes!" I don't really have "set" pieces when it comes to backdrops to use plus I hate using the same place more than once so I tend to wander with my clients a bit and let the city open up to us. Today was no different. We zig-zagged from alley to alley to building to building. Trying to avoid people on a Sunday any more is tricky downtown. Football and Baseball are full into effect and hockey will be added to the mix soon. As a sports fan I love it , but as a photog it gets congested. Luckily I had a great subject who was full of laughter and a preconceived notion of what she didn't want for her senior photos. Family in tow, we ended the shoot with the Convention Center (The water fall was shut off ) and then walked across the street to Ten Penny for some drinks and Dinner. No better way to end a photo shoot (Hint-Hint.... Clients!) As Always , thank you asking me to represent your Senior portraits!
